What is 5G ?

Now the present 4G LTE mobile network technology is going to be outstripping by the 5G mobile network. Almost testing of 5G is almost over in all cities of the India. Still there are many questions like how this signal stays stable, is this 5g has any danger to health, and what about to the cost of the 5g supported mobile phones. So, we researched some information related to the 5G network and we analyzed here. Let’s see the information about 5G here now.

What is 5G?

The term 5G indicates new generation technologies and standards for mobile communication. This “fifth generation”, which follows the previous 2G, 3G and 4G, is therefore the connection technology that will use our Smartphone’s, but also and above all the many connected objects (IoT, Internet of things) around us, intended for to be more and more numerous. One of the main characteristics of this network is, in fact, precisely that of allowing many more connections at the same time, with high speed and very rapid response times.

Moreover, it is not a question of the simple evolution of the current 4G network, because it has completely different technical characteristics, not only for the amount of broader bandwidth and speed; it is precisely a different way of managing communications and coverage, with different frequencies, antennas and data transmission techniques than in the past.

1. When we can expect this 5G services:

Still the Indian government not yet finalized the spectrum auction process. Once its completed then soon we can expect the 5G network connectivity.

2. Advantages and disadvantages:

As for speed, potentially 5G can go up to 10 Gigabit per second. The most credible perspective assumes, however, a speed 10 times faster than 4G. So if, for example, we consider going from 25 megabits per second of 4G to 250 megabits per second of 5G, we could download an audio cd (700 megabytes) in about twenty seconds, compared to the current 4 minutes.

The performance will be superior especially in terms of latency, that is, of response times to the command given to the connected object (for example, if we think of the connected cars, it is the time that passes between when a sensor on the road indicating the stop transmits to the command to stop and the moment when the car actually stops). This response time will drop to 1-10 milliseconds, about 10 times less than the current 50-100 milliseconds of 4G (and this is one of the aspects considered most important for the new digital services that are expected to be developed).

3. Which Mobile Phones supports this 5G:

The leading mobile companies like Samsung, XioMi, Apple, Vivo, and Oppo started their 5G devices once they succeeded they will come to this 5G light.

4. Radiation Effect of 5G:

Despite the panic that broke out around 5G, at the moment there are no data that allow to exclude or confirm that this new technology has harmful effects on health or not . In order to evaluate the potential negative effects on the health of 5G, however, we can refer to the available evidence on the effects of emissions related to 2G and 3G, trying to hypothesize what may occur as a consequence of different exposures. But even in this case, it will take years of study from its diffusion to have clear answers. What we know so far, however, reassures rather than alarming: 5G will travel on higher frequencies than 2G, 3G and 4G, but the antenna network, in reality, will use signals with lower power. Furthermore, the fact remains that, even at higher frequencies, the penetration capacity of these waves into human tissues always remains very low and limited to the surface layers of the skin, also lacking the energy necessary to cause damage to the DNA. With such a network, due to the capillarity of the 5 G antennas, the intensity of the necessary signals and the frequencies used, one thinks of a limited exposure and negative effects comparable or even lower than those deriving from the use of technologies previous.

are these electromagnetic waves dangerous?

On electromagnetic waves emitted with 5G, as we said, there are still no data that allow us to understand if it has harmful effects. There are valid data, recognized by the international scientific community, on exposure to the frequencies of 2G and 3G, data that do not yet give definitive answers and which, however, cannot be transferred automatically to 5G (antennas and frequencies are very different). As the data available on the open internet this data is presented here. For further clarifications like this 5 G mobile network is harmful for us or not, exact date of 5G services, cost of 5G mobile phones etc questions we need to wait for some more time.
